Our Leadership
Redeemer Church is led in plurality. We believe this to be the New Testament pattern of church leadership. So, we are served by a team of elders and deacons.
Our congregation appoints our elders to teach the Bible, provide pastoral care, and equip us all for ministry to one another. Each of these men is qualified to serve as pastors in Christ’s church.
Also, our church is served by a group of men and women called deacons. We appoint deacons to humbly serve our church in various practical ways; therefore, they set an example for all members of the body.

Connor Francis
Pastoral Assistant
Connor serves as a pastoral assistant at Redeemer. He is responsible for the finance and ministry mobilization efforts of the church. Before Redeemer, he worked at the Madison Baptist Association. Connor is working on his degree in accounting from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Connor and Jaylyn, his fiance, are born and raised in North Alabama.

Corey Smith
Assistant Pastor
Corey serves as an assistant pastor at Redeemer Church. He oversees our family ministries from childhood to young adulthood and supports Sunday's corporate gathering. Before coming to Redeemer, Corey served as a lay elder in Mississippi, then pursued a call to vocational ministry through a pastoral residency at a sister church in Oregon. Corey is currently pursuing his M.Div. at Southern Seminary.
Corey and his wife, Chandler, have two children. Outside of ministry, he enjoys hiking, training jiu-jitsu, and spending time with his family.

Thomas Newman
Associate Pastor
Thomas serves as an associate pastor at Redeemer. He oversees our adult and family ministries, setting their tone and vision. He also shares in the preaching and pastoral care of the people called Redeemer.
Thomas is a Huntsville native. His wife, Megan, and he have three awesome kids. Between sports, school, and extracurriculars, the Newmans stay active hiking or trying new restaurants around town.

VInce Crampton
Assistant Pastor
Vince serves as an assistant pastor at Redeemer. He executes our family ministries, leading our student ministry. He also helps witness to what God is doing at Redeemer through video.
Thomas is a Missouri native. His wife, Morgan, and he are avid travelers. Prior to Redeemer, they traveled national parks. In addition to Redeemer, he manages Sojourn Expedition, creating media and travel books to help people maximize their time in America's national parks.

Zach Carter
Senior Pastor
Zach serves as one of the pastors at Redeemer. Before Redeemer, he had served with four church staffs across Alabama and Kentucky. While in Kentucky, he completed his M.Div. (2017) and Ph.D. (2022) at Southern Seminary in Louisville. He is also one of the editors of Cloud of Witnesses (Crossway, 2024) and has served as an adjunct professor in church history and worldview analysis at Boyce College.
Zach and Morgan, his wife, are Huntsville metro natives. They have three incredible kids. When not running around with the crew, they love hosting friends and cooking great food.
